New Orleans' Mayor Ray Nagin proposes a casino zone near the French Quarter to put some legs on the city's economic recovery.
The one casino in the area wasn't exactly enjoying financial success prior to Katrina, so the good Mayor now wants to prey on the misguided hopes of the locals - and the few who visit the city during the rebuilding stages.
So long as Nagin is planning to drop the city's pants, why not legalize prostitution while he's at it? Even better, he could really move redevelopment forward by legalizing "medicinal" crack for those who can not cope with their self-diagnosed PTSD.
Ol' Ray can turn the big easy into the big sleazy - and run the Mardi Gras show year round!
