MoveOn Cindy

Hey Cindy,

Guess what?

As you pathetically attempt to highjack your son's honor in a MoveOn-guided attempt to establish your faux-credibility, Tammy Pruett has come along and trumped your victim-card in fewer words than the mainstream media are committing to your every bit of spoken excrement as if they were pearls of absolute moral wisdom. Mrs. Pruett's husband and five sons have each served in Iraq and she has this to say through President Bush:

I know that if something happens to one of the boys, they would leave this world doing what they believe, what they think is right for our country.

President Bush responds:

And I guess you couldn't ask for a better way of life than giving it for something that you believe in. America lives in freedom because of families like the Pruetts.

.
.
.
MoveOn's puppet likely will find no solace in Mrs. Pruett's "absolute moral authority," but what did she "think" was going to happen? I mean - come on. (Or MoveOn... whatever).

The Hyde Park Declaration

In 2000, the Democrat Leadership Council (DLC) met and signed the Hyde Park Declaration, which identified the following Social Security and Medicare "Goals for 2010":

  • Create Retirement Savings Accounts to enable low-income Americans to save for their own retirement. (Democratic Leadership Council, "The Hyde Park Declaration: A Statement Of Principles And A Policy Agenda For The 21st Century," http://www.ndol.org/print.cfm?contentid=1926, 8/1/00)
  • Honor our committment to seniors by ensuring the future solvency of Social Security and Medicare. (Democratic Leadership Council, "The Hyde Park Declaration: A Statement Of Principles And A Policy Agenda For The 21st Century," http://www.ndol.org/print.cfm?contentid=1926, 8/1/00)
  • Make structural reforms in Social Security and Medicare that slow their future cost growth, modernize benefits (including a prescription drug benefit for Medicare), and give beneficiaries more choice over their retirement and health security. (Democratic Leadership Council, "The Hyde Park Declaration: A Statement Of Principles And A Policy Agenda For The 21st Century," http://www.ndol.org/print.cfm?contentid=1926, 8/1/00)

.
Guess what the signatories to the Hyde Park Declaration are saying now?! (You might want to snag another cup of coffee first... the flip-flops are going to carry on for a while).
