BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan – The first relief supplies from the United States ready for departure aboard here on a U.S. Air Force C-17 less than 48 hours after the devastating earthquake that left thousands dead and thousands more injured. The C-17 and its crew from the 7th Airlift Squadron, McChord Air Force Base, Wash., delivered 12 pallets -- weighing almost 90,000 pounds -- of food, water, medicine and blankets from Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. Two aerial port specialists from Bagram's 455th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron were also on the flight to coordinate and manage cargo at Islamabad. Will the MSM report on this?
Probably not... at least not with 5% of the vigor they'll happily report on the latest wounded soldeir... being that it serves no politically expedient purpose to report on our success stories, that is.
If we want stories like this in the news, we'll have to tie an American-death toll to it...
